Diabetes:
The sugar you take in is digested and turns into simple sugar called as glucose (important component for the brain). Glucose enters into the body and gives energy.
Pancreas produces insulin which helps glucose to move from the blood to liver, muscle, and fat. Pancreas in healthy stage can regulate insulin as per glucose level but in a diabetes patient the level of glucose becomes high. The normal range should in between 70 mg/dl – 110mg/dl.
Hypoglycemia = <70. Hyperglycemia = >110
NOTE: IF YOU KEEP YOUR BLOOD SUGAR IN CONTROL THE COMPICATIONS ASSOCIATED WILL BE IN CONTROL.
Classification:
Type 1: The body fails to produce insulin due to genetic disorder one has to depend on INSULIN injections to survive. It is an auto immune disease. A virus is responsible to destroy the cells and make pancreas to work no longer. So sugar gets accumulated in the body over time damages organs and vessels.
Warning Symptoms: Hyperglycemia, Craving for water, weight loss etc………
Type2: The body produces enough insulin but the cells cannot use insulin as they become opposed to it. Most people suffer from Type-2 disease.
Warning Symptoms: Weight loss, Rashes and itching over skin, Infections, Vision defects, Fatigue, weakness, Numbness.
Complication: Diabetic Neuropathy(nerve damage), Heart Disease, Diabetic Nephropathy(Kidney Disease), Depression and Erectile problems, foot problems, Skin related problems, depression, Stroke, Diabetic retinopathy(Vision defects), Sexual Problems, Urinary problems.
NOTE: EARLY DETECTION IS THE KEY TO RECOVERY
Signs and symptoms: Both have similar symptoms because in either way the cells starve of glucose.
Polyuria: Visiting bathroom many times,
Polydipsia: Uncontrollable Thirst, tender gums.
Losing weight unknowingly, Fatigue, Irritability.
Infections, Poor wound Healing (high blood sugar does not allow W.B.C to increase).
Nutrition: One should have a balanced diet to maintain in a healthy state it should contain carbohydrate (60%), proteins (20%) and Fat (30%) in a definite amount.
Carbohydrate rich food is found in breads, beans, vegetables, milk and its products, fresh fruits etc…

Treatment:
Blood sugar should be controlled in any circumstances and need regular check ups.
Good and balanced diet should be taken.
To lower the blood sugar diabetes medication and insulin should be used.
